The Bizopen Diamond Bur Flat End Cylinder 836-014 Standard Grit is a parallel-sided cylindrical diamond instrument used for shoulder preparation, box preparation, and occlusal reduction procedures where parallel axial walls and flat preparation floors are the primary geometric requirement. The 1.4 mm diameter flat end cylinder geometry creates 90-degree internal line angles between the axial wall and the preparation floor — the butt-joint shoulder margin geometry required for full-coverage ceramic restorations that demand a right-angle tooth-to-restoration interface for maximum structural support. Bizopen’s 180 grit standard diamond coating covers both the cylindrical lateral surface and the flat end face of the bur, enabling simultaneous axial wall preparation and floor leveling in a single instrument position. The parallel sides of the cylinder geometry produce zero draft on the prepared axial wall when the bur is used with a straight vertical stroke, requiring the practitioner to introduce deliberate angulation to achieve the 6 to 12 degrees of draft that indirect restoration seating demands.
